Puss Gets the Boot is the very first Tom and Jerry cartoon ever made.

Created by MGM, it launched what would become one of the most iconic cartoon series of all time.
Between 1940 and 1958, MGM produced 114 classic Tom and Jerry episodes, and this very first short set the tone for all the legendary chases that followed. 😄
